I took on this "project" after walking past my neighbour's garden for three years and seeing the caravan in this state. After a bit of hesitation, I plucked up the courage to ask if he intended to use it again and he was very kind and actually gave it to me!
I am not attempting a full restoration but I want to make the caravan water-tight and usable again. On the inside, I would like to preserve as much of the original features as possible... That means no electrics inside, gas lights, and all the original fixtures and fittings - including the foot water pump.
Only the roof will get a new coat of paint.
